Hidden Spaces: Scout's Lookout
If you ever travel to Zion National Park in Utah, check out the trail Scout's Lookout. It holds of miles of beautiful scenery and spectacular views of the area that you'll surely enjoy.
I found myself here on a random Sunday afternoon with my friends Julian, Rosemary and her couch surfer pal from Belgium. Despite many delays, we made it and were able to finish up right before the sunset!
Throughout the hike, I found myself in a state of awe. That nature could create something so amazing! This trail was one I've never done before, so everything was new stimulation. I really took the time to let go of all that was on my mind and absolve into the present moment. I felt deeply connected to nature and returned from my trip really grateful for life. I took particular interest in the moss as well as the ecosystem present. I also enjoyed the look of the foliage. I found inspiration in the patterns and textures seen while exploring.
This is the purpose of hidden spaces. To explore the obscure and hidden. The western world spends much of our lives in a state of rigidness. But going out into nature or any place that is out of our normal routine brings us out of that. It gives life a new perspective. I
Scout's Lookout is a perfect place to reflect. It offers so much, and if you're willing to look for it, you will find great treasures.
Below is a video montage of my travels there! The track is another project I created which includes sounds recorded in Zion.
I hope you enjoy, please be sure to like and subscribe to my channel, and be on the lookout for more music soon :)
